In the rapid development of modern construction technology, color-coated steel sheet houses, as an efficient, environmentally friendly, and aesthetically modern architectural form, are gaining widespread application globally. This documentation records a suburban residential project using color-coated steel sheets, with a building area of approximately 200 square meters, completed from foundation construction to main structure in just 45 days.
At 7 a.m., the construction site was already bustling with activity. After leveling the ground and pouring the concrete foundation, workers began installing the steel structure base connectors. Project manager Li, holding blueprints, meticulously checked the position of each embedded part: "Color-coated steel sheet houses require extremely high foundation flatness, with tolerances controlled within 3 millimeters."
With the arrival of large cranes, the construction entered its most eye-catching phase. Prefabricated H-shaped steel columns and beams were precisely hoisted into place, secured quickly with high-strength bolts. Steel structure engineer Wang explained: "Compared to traditional reinforced concrete structures, steel structures are lighter, faster to construct, and offer superior seismic performance."
Once the main framework was completed, the color-coated steel sheets were brought on-site. These panels, pre-cut to design specifications at the factory, feature a durable fluorocarbon coating in multiple color options. This project opted for a design blending silver-gray and white, achieving a modern yet warm aesthetic.
The installation process was as efficient as assembling building blocks:
Wall system: Workers first fixed thermal insulation rock wool between steel structures, then installed the outer color-coated steel sheets. These panels are connected with self-tapping screws, with joints sealed using specialized adhesive to ensure waterproofing and airtightness.
Roof system: Corrugated color-coated steel sheets were used, combining aesthetics with effective rainwater drainage. Special flashing plates at wall-roof junctions prevent potential leaks.
On-site technician Zhang highlighted the panels' features: "This material's coating resists UV rays and acid rain corrosion, with an expected service life exceeding 30 years while requiring virtually no maintenance."
